Qliklets now iGoogle Compatible

We are adding native support for Qliklets to run on iGoogle.

Clicking here should take you to the above page and allow you to try adding the Gadget to your own iGoogle page.

Although Qliklets could already be added to iGoogle (as well as many other Ajax Start Pages, social networking sites, blogs etc.) from day one via the wrapper created and managed over at WidgetBox, supporting iGoogle natively gives us more power and control. In particular it opens the path to implement a Canvas view where the user can choose to maximise the Gadget (Google's name for Qliklet. I mean Widget!). When in this Canvas mode the Gadget can take up a much larger area and present a different interface to the user. I'll try to post an interesting illustration of this soon.

Additionally, supporting iGoogle natively means that correct meta data (such as name, description, author url/email, and screen shots and thumbnails etc.) can supplied to the iGoogle platform exactly as required.

The last great feature that this native iGoogle support provides is the ability to run the Qliklet on the Desktop 'out of browser'. Stay tuned for a post on this soon.
